Salary Negotiation

In addition to interviews and psychological test, salary negotiation becomes a little tricky stage for prospective employees.

Many of people fail to negotiate the maximum for salary and do not understand the trick of negotiations. Salary demands are too high can make the company did not hire you; too low nominal was also filed against you. When it came time conducting negotiations to get the salary best and package other advantages, many job seekers who not ready.

Before signing a contract, make sure you are ready to make the best nominal salary. How do the trick?

1. Find out the salary range in the profession you are applying.

Usually companies bid a nominal salary, but you do not know for sure whether the amount reasonable or not. Therefore strongly recommend that you know exactly realistic salary range are you supposed to be. You also need to have a objective opinion on the ability of yourself and what the salary range appropriate for you.

2. Plan your negotiation.

Before the interview, you should have to imagine (at least) three things in mind. First, how big your basic consumption is needs of every month. Second, the additional value that should you receive is based on work experience, salary market, and geographic location (this applies if you are placed in certain areas, especially if the distance from the capital). Third, imagine a salary of what will make you happy.

3. Hold yourself. You do not start talking matter of salary.

If companies do not talk about salary mean you have not been enough to convince them, you are the ideal candidates. Concentrate first on the topic of the interview. Shows that you have more value and capability that will contribute positively to the company and the company will not lose pay you handsomely.

4. Do not ask, "How much is my salary?"

Usually at the end of the interview you are required to ask if there is anything that is not yet clear. At moment like this, question most stupid is ask matter of salary. This shows, that you think only about the paycheck, not a job.

5. Defer questions about salary until you get all the facts.

When asked about salary, do not directly give the range. The candidates must say, they need time for better understand the jobs before discuss about salary paid.

6. Do not make the previous salary as benchmark. There was no similar work.

Your salary in your previous company has no connection with salary when you start working in the new company. Say it to yourself, “I changed jobs, so I definitely want to earn more”. But make the appropriate salary survey with the ability and your work experience before.

7. Do not lie about the previous salary

Lying about salary is the trigger rejection

8. Make them afraid of losing you.

If there is already an offer to work in other places, do not hesitate to reveal. If there is a good offer from the company's competitors, you can use this to 'threaten' the interviewer. Say, you are very eager to work in his company, only you are confused because there is a serious offer very attractive from a rival company.

9. Never take the first offer

Just as buying goods, do not directly buy the goods at the first price offered by the seller. Make bargaining. The first price is definitely not set in stone.

10. What if you really want the job, but they provide a bid lower than expected?

Just leave the door open.

Despite interview that day ended, do not be finish off with certainty. Do not rush to give up. Ask for a few days to think. Show that you are very interested and very valuable for companies that want to negotiate their return. Say you'll always open, if the company changed its mind, you are ready to receive a call back before making a final decision.
